Beth Sachrison

Tenor Instructor

Beth Sachrison started playing the side drum for the Seven Piper’s Society of Tucson in 2004.  She started learning tenor after becoming the drum sergeant of that band, realizing that she had better learn at least something about the midsection.  Thanks to a childhood spent twirling things (batons, bo-staffs, knives, etc) she took to it quickly.  She took second place (tied for first, really) in the Novice category at Winter Storm her first year of playing, then won first place in the Intermediate category the following year.  This allowed her to expand into higher level bands like the LA Scots Grade 3, and the Prince Charles Pipe Band Grade 2.  She has traveled to France to play in the Lorient Celtic Festival, and has competed at the World Championships in Scotland and the All-Ireland Championships.  She is also the tenor representative for the WUSPBA Education Committee.
